KARIN AUGUSTA NOGVA NORWAY, 8.5.-24.5. BIRD CABINET
In this exhibition, we present an installation that invites viewers into the world of birds, shown as part of Norwegian artist Karin Augusta Nogva’s long-term project The Birdwatcher. The title “Bird Cabinet” refers to an “imaginary space” in which the voices of birds reach human decision-making processes and are taken into consideration particularly in contexts where development progresses within fragile natural environments. This work serves as a symbolic installation of that idea, and Nogva invites viewers into this space to reflect on the situations faced by birds as well as the broader relationship between humans and nature.
